The Adventures of Julia the Generosity GenieTM
Book Series

Generosity Genie is about a 13 year old girl, named Julia who travels the world with her little brother William, running into one adventurous gem treasure hunt after another while always displaying the values of Generosity and the 5 P's: "Peaceful/Playful/Powerful/ Prosperous/Passionate." The books are culturally informative, highlights a specific gemstone, foreign language and embodies a spiritual life lesson.

Children are helping children whether it is to build a dog house or to find a missing kitty. There are magical medallions, secret passageways, hidden caves and special artifacts. Julia loves nature and has been bestowed the gift of communicating with animals. She has three very special animals that accompany her: Loria, the beautiful butterfly, Unity, the peaceful dove and Cool Cat, the language kitty.

The first of the series The Adventures of Julia the Generosity Genie & the Hunt for the Green Jade Mask takes place in South America and incorporates simple Spanish language, Mayan culture and geography, medicinal trees and plants and the gemstone Jade.

The second book of the series The Hunt for the Blue Star Sapphire takes place in the United States of America and incorporates native American Indian culture and language, geography and the gemstone Sapphire. The third of the series takes place in Africa and the fourth series in China.

The Generosity Genie Cultural Exchange Program

Our purpose is to create an open and friendly forum for the worlds children to share ideas, culture and information between the United States and abroad. We are committed to opening the minds of children instilling the values of generosity, peace and acceptance for all.

The children would be involved in the Generosity Genie Project - a process of creating or granting a wish for the others' community. The Project teaches children the value and joy of helping other children and the feelings, triumphs and challenges of working together to make a difference in a community or persons life. The requirements for participation are committing to writing your pen pal and to share your ideas and cultures. The head master will read and approve all correspondence before sending.

Every month or so, you would be given a specific question to answer and respond with your given pen pal. These questions would be about your country, community, geography, climate, family life, celebrations, holidays, food, sports, fashion, music, future dreams, career possibilities and people you admire, aspire to be like and why.

These letters would take one year to complete and during this time we would begin to work on the Generosity Genie Project.

A special surprise will be revealed at the end of the project for each team. The goal is to develop life long friendships in other countries. We are happy to be working with Boys & Girls Club of San Diego, to share their dreams and future possibilities. Our first exchange is between the Santa Elena Jaguar Scouts of Belize, Central America and Boys & Girls Club of San Diego, CA.

The Generosity Genie Wishing Well

The Wishing Well is a place where anyone can go to make a wish for a child in the realm of learning and growth. Generosity Genie has created this experience to enrich the human spirit of generosity, giving and gratitude in the world. Children must have reached the age of 4 and are under the age of 18 to be eligible for a wish.

The Team will look over each wish and make sure the wish meets our requirements of enriching the human spirit in areas of learning and acquiring knowledge for growth in the areas of our 5 P’s: peace, passion, play, power and prosperity. Examples of wishes are: My wish is to give…John a set of books to learn about Astronomy… Alexa an opportunity to learn about a career possibility…Our class a day of learning about hair, makeup and dressing for an interview…Tony an opportunity to be a police officer for a day…Julie a musical instrument to learn to play.

We commit to doing our very best in making these wishes come true. Only wishes that meet our requirements and feasibility will be granted. All expenses are fully covered. The Team consists of caring and compassionate individuals inspired by the joy of giving and helping others in the world. These wishes are granted anonymously or with your name and many blessings.

About the Author - Deborah Blohm

My passion for art, gems and adventure began at age six in my backyard hammering open rocks hoping to discover the hidden jewels and daydreaming about how I would create beautiful jewelry. It was through my passion in creating jewelry as a fine jewelry designer/gemologist in New York City, where I found that making a difference in the lives of children was most inspiring to me!

It was on a scuba diving trip in Belize that Generosity Genie and Children helping Children Worldwide was born. And that day, my life was forever altered. After diving the Blue Hole, sitting on top of an old worn down tree stump, surrounded by large sea shells was a large red nut, shaped in a heart. Knowing I was writing Generosity Genie, I kept this nut as a memento for the heart of my project, keeping the dream alive to inspire children helping children. It represented for me what is possible and to always follow my dreams. It was my love for people, adventure and travel that led to the cultivation of Generosity Genie.

I feel so blessed to be living my life's passion and to be inspiring children to live their life full of gratitude, generosity and the 5 P's: "Peaceful/Playful/Powerful/ Prosperous/Passionate."

"Do your little bit of good where you are; it's those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world." - Archbishop Desmond Tutu

The Countries I have Visited

My inspiration came from sitting in Parisian, Venetian and Tunisian cafes watching the people, tasting the world's cuisines from Japanese sushi to Italy's amazing cuttlefish pasta and savoring high tea in Hong Kong. Or being chased by dogs on Sicily, wild boar on Sardinia, to riding camels in Morocco and elephants in Thailand.

I loved hiking to the tops of exotic temples in Angkor Wat, Cambodia, Thailand and the Aztec and Mayan ruins of Mexico, Belize, and Guatemala.

Walking on the Great Wall of China, dressing in the traditional kimono's of the Maiko girl in Kyoto, Japan, and touring the Kremlin in Russia.

I loved going deep inside the Tourmaline gem mines in California, snow skiing the majestic mountains of Sun Valley, Idaho, white water rafting in West Virginia and golfing anywhere in the beautiful United States of America.
